“Ugo Pozzo’s name always appeared next to Fillia’s among the components of the Second Turin Futurist Group. F.T. Marinetti has written a flattering profile of Pozzo and has underlined his "intelligent and carnal love for geometry and shapes." He was one of the Creators of the Group in 1923 and since then has displayed his work in over one hundred national and international art exhibitions, including five Biennial Exhibitions in Venice. What is incomprehensible, but in part due to his reluctance and his aversion to flattering attention, is that he was overlooked during the Exhibition in the Civic Gallery of Modern Art. This occurred in April 1962 during the "Cinque pittore ed uno scultore" (Five Painters and a Sculptor) Exhibition which commemorated the Second Turinese Futurism. It was a serious oversight, as Marinetti himself did not hesitate to state that "Ugo Pozzo, a glowing inspiration, has what it takes to carry on Fillia’s work." The whole matter truly hurt him, but his proven "resistance in face of difficulties" has allowed him to recall the oversight without rancour.”
